KAWAGUCHIKO, MT FUJI PROPOSAL - MARVENA & MARCEL
What began as a couple shoot quietly became a surprise proposal.
One of the most heart-warming days I’ve had behind the camera.
Mt. Fuji doesn’t always appear when you want her to. The forecast said clear skies, but low clouds kept her hidden, and Marcel was carrying the weight of the moment.
Slowly, the clouds lifted. Mt. Fuji revealed herself at exactly the right time, not because we planned it that way, but because some things arrive when they’re meant to.

A QUIET MORNING AT FAB CAFE

We took a slow morning break at Fab Cafe. A calm, cosy space with warm wood, soft light, and just enough glass to let the day breathe. Good food, simple and comforting, gave us the fuel we needed.
While Marvenia stepped away to the bathroom, Marcel and I talked quietly. Mt. Fuji was still hiding behind the clouds, but he hadn’t lost hope. He told me he would only propose if she appeared.
Before she came back, he smiled and said, I’m not worried. Good things take time.
CALM BEFORE THE QUESTION
When the clouds finally lifted and Mt. Fuji appeared, we made our way to Nagasaki Park for the proposal. He was nervous. The wind picked up, the air turned colder, and it all seemed to settle into his body.
He asked the question.
They held each other in tears, with Mt. Fuji standing quietly behind them.
